Announcements: November and December activities

The Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the Autism Society of America is committed to sharing resources regarding Autism/Pervasive Development Disorder (PDD), and to provide support for families who deal with these conditions. The organization serves the Houston-Galveston area of southeast Texas. Our purpose includes several important functions, including the following:

To collect and distribute information that can increase the effectiveness of our efforts to improve the quality of life for our friends and family members who are affected by autism/PDD,
To sponsor local seminars and workshops,
To form associations with educational and research institutions to further research efforts and maximize the benefits of their work,
To assist the public in understanding autism/PDD conditions and encourage them to support our efforts to minimize their effect on our loved ones, and
To encourage and sponsor family events where children in our group can meet other children with similar challenges to have fun.
